Terms of Service

Last Updated: 3/6/2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Aüx ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. Aüx is an audio discovery platform that aggregates publicly available sounds.

2. User Accounts & Authentication

To access certain features (like saving tracks or reacting), you must authenticate using supported third-party providers (e.g., Google, TikTok). You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Creators claiming profiles must verify their identity via TikTok OAuth.

3. Content and Intellectual Property

User-Requested Content: The Platform utilizes automated pipelines to ingest audio clips requested by users from third-party sites (e.g., TikTok). Aüx does not claim ownership of these audio clips.

DMCA & Takedowns: We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe your copyrighted work is being hosted on Aüx without authorization, please use our in-app reporting tools or contact us immediately. Tracks receiving multiple copyright strikes are automatically removed.

4. Creator Portal and Payments

Creators may pay to "Boost" their tracks on the discovery feed. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. "Boosts" guarantee increased visibility for the specified duration but do not guarantee a specific number of plays, likes, or followers. All payments are non-refundable unless the track is removed by the system in error.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Platform to:

  • Upload or request illegal, hateful, or explicit content.
  • Attempt to bypass our rate limits or abuse our APIs.
  • Scrape data from the Platform for commercial use without our explicit permission.
  • Impersonate another creator or artist.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aüx shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
